Leticia
Leticia came to DePaul Industries through the State of Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation program. She had successfully maintained office employment with State Farm Insurance for many years, but had been out of work for quite some time. Her goals were to gain more substantial computer software skills and to work on communicating more effectively through writing since English is her second language. We made the decision to set Leticia up with a Customized Program, including the following components: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Filing, Job Readiness, Keyboarding, and Ten Key. Leticia was able to complete her program within a three-month time period. From the moment she stepped into the Training Center, she was actively working on job applications, pursuing her goal of gaining employment with the County or the State. Upon completion of her program, Leticia did accept a temporary position with the Oregon Department of Transportation. This position was offered through DePaul Staffing. Shortly after accepting this position, Leticia had to give her notice because she was offered a permanent position with the Department of Justice. |
