Project SEARCH Background
The original Project SEARCH program was developed in 1997 in Cincinnati, OH as a way to serve simultaneously serve businesses and people with disabilities through innovative workforce and career development opportunities. Project SEARCH provides employment and education opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities and barriers to employment. Through this process, employers are educated about the potential of this underutilized workforce while meeting their human resource needs. The program is dedicated to workforce development that benefits the individual, community and workplace, and has been replicated with great success nationwide.

Based on the success of Cincinnati’s proven program, DePaul Industries is spearheading Project SEARCH efforts in Oregon, partnering with businesses to provide workforce solutions and create a positive work environment.
